The Kirk Group entered the Flexography market in 2000, with the purchase
of their first Digilas Laser. 2002 saw the installation of a further two
Lasers. Today KG hosts 5 lasers, providing us with the largest capacity for Digital Plate output
in the industry.
The Kirk Group's objective is to provide the Flexographic Printer with
the same service provided to Gravure Printers.
Plate sizes of up to 2030mm x 1270mm can be processed with imaging from
either digital or conventional output devices.
The following processes are used by the Kirk Group to provide Flexographic services:
- Digital plates
- Conventional plates
- Reproduction of analogue and digital data
- Filmless digital processing of photopolymer plates for solvent, water-based and UV Flexographic printing
- Air cylinders as carriers for sleeves, manufactured to suit all styles of printing machines
